First Book-Charlotte 4th Annual Spring Gala
Join us once again for a spectacular evening of dining, live entertainment, an exciting auction and so much more. All while we raise funds to give children in need the opportunity to read and own their first new books.
We want to welcome Larry Sprinkle from WCNC News Channel 36, as this year’s host and emcee.
All proceeds of the evening benefit children through the local programs that First Book-Charlotte partners with to provide children from low income families with the opportunity to read and own their first new books. Book grants provide children with a home library to call their own, and the books are selected by the receiving organization. This year enough money was raised to purchase more than 25,000 new books.
