Children's Book Author
Colleen started First Book-Charlotte in early 2006. A best-selling
children's author, Colleen donates all of the royalties from her
book, "What I Like About You" to children's charities, including
First Book. Married with two young boys, she loves reading to her
own sons, and inspiring children from all walks of life to
explore and express the stories within them."

Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools
Erin started First Book-Charlotte with Colleen in February of
2006. As a Literacy Facilitator and true passion for children’s
literacy programs, Erin is a natural fit as our Recipient Group
Liaison.

Sue joined First Book-Charlotte as a board member in January of
2007. In addition to working with First Book, Sue is also the
Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra's Junior Guild Advisor.

Jennifer Loeffler, Secretary
Nations Ford Elementary
Jennifer joined First Book-Charlotte in September of 2007
and in 2008 holds the position of Secretary. She is a
second grade teacher at Nations Ford Elementary and in 2007 was
honored with teacher of the year.

KPMG, LLLP
Kristen joined First Book-Charlotte as a board member in June of
2006 and now serves as the Treasurer. Kristen is a Senior Tax
Associate with KPMG.

Jennifer Saltzman, Website Administrator
Marketing Consultant
Jennifer joined First Book-Charlotte as a board member in October of
2006 and served as Gala Chair for two years. She is currently
our website administrator and designer. Married and the mother of
two young boys, Jennifer shares her passion of First Book with her
family and friends.

Michelle Boudin

Michelle joined First Book-Charlotte in the Spring of 2008 after
reading a feature article about our local organization in Charlotte
Magazine. "I was looking to help out in the community and First Book
brings together some of the things that I think matter most --
helping underprivileged kids and getting kids to read." Her
mother, an elementary school teacher, always knew the importance
(and fun!) of books in the house growing up.
Michelle grew up in South Florida and has worked across the South as
a television news reporter, but is hoping to settle in the Queen
city.

Courtney joined First Book-Charlotte as a board member in November
of 2007. She is married to husband, Jeff and they have one daughter.
She is also an Audit Manager at Dixon Hughes, PLLC.

Tom Matthews joined First Book in February of 2007. Tom leads Time
Warner Cable’s (TWC) human resources function by developing and
implementing progressive human resources strategies across the
thirty plus divisions.

Stephanie joined First Book-Charlotte in 2008. Stephanie Ready
is the Bobcats television sideline reporter, responsible for
providing in-depth coverage from courtside for all telecasts this
season.

Tracy Solida

Tracy joined FBC as a volunteer in 2007 and became a
Board Member in 2009. She has served on the gala
